Bulltec’s growth beyond Italian borders is enriched by a new milestone: the installation of the first combination weighing line on Swiss territory, carried out in collaboration with the local partner specialized in automatic systems.
Before the arrival of Bulltec technology, the company managed the filling of the crates in an entirely manual way, employing about five operators dedicated to this phase of the process. The needs to be met were essentially two: on one hand reducing product waste linked to a non-optimized weight in each crate, on the other hand automating the entire packaging process, in a context where finding qualified labor is increasingly complex.
Today, thanks to the Bulltec line, the customer no longer gives away excess weight and completes the same process with only three people, with benefits both in terms of production efficiency and labor costs.
The scrap percentage stands between 3 and 4%: a result that confirms how much the precision of Bulltec technologies is able to meet the high standards required by a demanding market such as the Swiss one.
A further strong point of the plant is its versatility: the line works on a wide range of vegetables, from cluster tomatoes to cucumbers, to zucchini and eggplants, products with very different physical characteristics from one another, confirming the ability of Bulltec technologies to adapt to different production needs.
The project fits into the internationalization path that Bulltec has been pursuing for some years and confirms how its technologies are increasingly in demand also outside national borders. A step that strengthens the company’s expansion strategy in the Swiss and European market, consolidating its role as a point of reference for technological solutions in vegetable processing.
